We are now into the next stage of the competion for Heartfelts search to find Somersets Young Fashion Designer Of The Year. The moodboards have been submitted and it was great fun looking through everyones ideas for what they would like to produce.
The entrants who have gotten through to the next stage have been contacted by letter and it is now time to put their ideas into a garment or two, depending on if they have entered Daywear, Evening wear or both.
The garments have to be completed and delivered by Friday the 27th August, which gives them an extension of one week.
We can't wait to see these creations.
Last time I blogged about the competition we had a date but no venue, we are pleased to announce that we are now hosting it at the Regal Theatre in Minehead. It's going to be a fabulous evening with so much happening.....tickets will be on sale soon from their box office so don't miss out guys!

- Hi, I'm Mandy and I'm back. I used to own The Wardrobe and Arcane in Dulverton, Somerset. I decided in late November to open another shop in the UK and am doing this with my son Theo's girlfriend Becky. I am and always have been passionate about fashion, be it vintage or new and have an absolute need to be creative! Because of this I work with fabrics and especially felt - hence the name Heartfelt because this really does come from my heart as I wish to teach Becky everything I have gleaned over the last 30 years of working in the RAG trade, love that word. I started when I was very young, designing and making clothes and accessories on Covent Garden antiques market on a Monday--COLD -- and have been hooked and in Love with this business ever since. Becky is young and has the enthusiasm that has made my working life so exciting. Join us for a cuppa when you're passing, we would love to meet you!
